May CPCU Luncheon Meeting w/RIMS

05/17/16 11:30am to 1:00pm
15909 Preston Road
Dallas,TX 75248

Scott's presentation will focus on recent D&O litigation and settlement trends affecting publicly-traded companies in Texas, with a specific focus on the Oil, Gas and Energy sector.  He will review the perils that a best-in-breed public-company D&O policy should indemnify and contrast coverage against securities and derivative litigation, regulatory actions and related executive perils in the current legal environment.

Finally, he will review recent changes in underwriting guidelines associated with the acceptance or declination of publicly-traded Oil, Gas and Energy D&O risk. By the end of the presentation, the audience should have a greater understanding of why D&O rates have increased over the past couple of D&O insurance renewal cycles for Oil, Gas and Energy companies, and ultimately, be in a better position to determine if D&O underwriters are responding to recent stock market losses in the Oil, Gas and Energy sectors rationally or opportunistically relative D&O rate increases?
