Assistant Research Analyst

International Risk Management Institute, Inc. (IRMI), is seeking an Assistant Research Analyst   to join our editorial team. For this entry-level position, we are looking for an individual with a bachelor’s degree and either a major in risk management and insurance or 2–5 years of property and liability insurance industry experience with an insurer or insurance agency. 

This individual will be trained to do research on various state insurance laws and prepare summary information on these laws in the form of short discussions or tables. This material will be reviewed by a Senior Research Analyst and then added to IRMI publications. 

This position is in our home office in Dallas, with a limited amount of travel to attend industry conferences and seminars.

Desired Skills and Experience

  • Undergraduate college degree majoring in risk management and insurance

    or

  • Undergraduate college degree in another field (not risk management and insurance) with 2–5 years of property and liability insurance industry experience

    and

  • Excellent writing skills

Attention to detail, an ability to analyze information and arrive at conclusions, and excellent written communication skills are required. The ideal candidate will also have a love of learning and an interest in studying the risk management and insurance field, especially property and liability insurance coverage.
