Join us on Tuesday, August 28 for this year's All Industry Day--"The Shape of Insurance".  We are excited to have a fantastic lineup of experienced speakers who will share their expertise & a comedian and violinist who will provide enjoyable entertainment.

The event will be held at The Clubs of Prestonwood - The Creek.   15909 Preston Road, Dallas, Texas 75248

Registration with light breakfast will be begin at 7:30am, with the event starting promptly at 8:10am.

Jonathan Jordan, P.E., CFEI, ESi

Senior Consultant

Johnathan is a Senior Consultant specializing in electrical engineering issues and has performed numerous investigations into fires caused by electrical issues. His experience includes evaluation of electronics products and their failure modes to determine if they adhered to relevant safety standards. He has experience in product safety failure analysis, resulting in design changes, ODM changes, and recalls. His projects have included a wide array of products and components, including electronics, printed circuit boards, appliances, HVAC/R, residential and commercial wiring, motors, power supplies, and battery failure analysis, with an emphasis on lithium-ion battery chemistry.

Jason Keen, AIC, MBA

Jason is an Executive General Adjuster with Sedgwick in Dallas. For the past 12 years he has been with Liberty Mutual as a field property adjuster; Travelers as a commercial lines catastrophe adjuster before joining Vericlaim, Inc. in 2011, now part of Sedgwick in 2018. Jason works on complex commercial large losses of all perils, specializing in wind/hail claims, among other areas. He has experience in large commercial property losses involving REITs, Habitational, Hospitality, Builder Risk and Equipment Breakdown. Jason earned his BA degree in Psychology and MBA from Delta State University. He is a Haag Certified Commercial Roof Inspector

Nick McDonald, CPCU

Senior Underwriter

Nick has been a member of the Berkley Entertainment team since May 2015. Prior to that, he was underwriting small commercial business for one of Berkley’s regional sister companies – Union Standard. As a Senior Underwriter with BEI, Nick handles a variety of the company’s film production accounts; which include television networks and large advertising agencies. Nick graduated from Indiana University in 2010 with a double major in Finance and Operations Management.

Eric joined Berkley in August 2004 as one of the original six employees who built the Entertainment and Sports Division. Currently the Senior Vice President of Underwriting, he is responsible for underwriting management of both the Sports and Entertainment Divisions. Prior to joining Berkley, he had been Assistant Vice President of Gulf Insurance Group’s Sports and Entertainment Divisions. He joined Gulf's New York office in 1998 from Western World Insurance Company where he was responsible for a countrywide surplus lines book of business. Eric holds a BA degree in Economics from Ramapo College of New Jersey.

She started her 7 year stint at the University of Oklahoma (including graduate school). In 2001, she moved to the Dallas area to be Litigation Counsel for Royal & Sun Alliance Insurance Company. After 12 years of service, she became Sr. Corporate Counsel of Employment with Huawei Technologies USA Inc. She joined LSG Sky Chefs as Deputy General Counsel in 2013. In 2017 Brandy decided to create her own firm to continue being a high valued counselor to companies in all industries.

Emily Burak

Violinist - Free-Lance

Emily started the violin at the age of 3. She has performed in Austria and the Czech Republic at 12 yrs. old as part of the Ft. Worth Youth Orchestra. She was in the Texas All-State Orchestra for all 4 yrs. She also was awarded outstanding soloist on violin for 2 yrs. At the Texas State Solo and Ensemble Contest, she performed as concertmaster and section leader in the Symphony Orchestra and the Opera. She has been a substitute violinist for the Ft. Worth Symphony. She is an active free-lance musician in the North TX area and has been honored to perform with artists such as Stevie Wonder, Johnny Mathis, Dierks Bentley, Andrea Bocelli, Michael Buble,and II Divo.
