We have a very exciting educational event planned for this year’s All Industry Day sheduled for Thursday, October 20th

The focus of the event will be on Cyber Risk.  A morning educational panel covering Cyber Breach Response is planned, as well as an afternoon session with representatives from the US Government. 

Registration will take place between 8:00am - 8:30am.  Breakfast will be available between 8:30am - 9:00am.  The complete day's schedule is summarized below.

 

Cyber Risk Panel:  900am -11:00 am

Joel is responsible for strategic and tactical leadership for development and continuous improvement of knowledge products and services. He brings over 25 years of experience with the insurance industry. Before joining IRMI, he was president of the construction division for ProSight Specialty Insurance, global head of underwriting and actuarial at The Warranty Group, construction risk officer at CNA Insurance and senior officer of the Argonaut Great Central Insurance Company in Chicago.

Joel holds a B.S. degree from DePaul University and an MBA with honors in international business from Lake Forest Graduate School. 

Mariah Quiroz

Mariah devotes her practice to representing insurers in complex coverage matters and insurance-related litigation.  She is one of the few Texas attorneys with a focus on cyber insurance and coverage issues arising from cyber security and data privacy risks.  She has vast experience representing international and domestic insurers in a variety of high-stakes commercial claims. 

Mariah is a member of the Dallas Bar Association, the Tort & Insurance Practice Section of the Dallas Bar Association, the Insurance Section of the State Bar of Texas, and CLM. She is a graduate of Baylor University and Baylor University School of law.

Scott is an SVP with EWI Specialty Casualty, a division of EWI Re, Inc. His core placement and consulting focus is on Directors, Officers and Corporate Securities Liability, Technology E & O/Cyber Liability & Reps and Warranty insurance. Prior to EWI, he was practice leader of Lockton Financial Services Governance Risk Management Group and Technology sub-practice. He is currently the Regional Director for the Claims and Litigation Management Alliance,  a member of the Professional Liability Underwriters Society and served on the Advisory Board of the National Association of Corporate Directors, North Texas Chapter 

Lindsay Nickle

Lindsay is experienced in assisting with the development and implementation of risk management processes and data security measures. As part of the firm’s breach response team, she assists in developing an efficient and prompt response to the loss or compromise of sensitive and protected data.  She is experienced with standards and issues unique to the payment card industry.  She is an experienced civil litigator with a background in general civil litigation and creditors' rights. Renewing her focus on education/mentoring, Lindsay served as an Adjunct Professor of Trial Advocacy at Texas Tech School of Law in the spring, 2013.
