Holiday Project 2018

The Community Good Works Committee (CGW) partners with The Children’s Advocacy Center of Collin County (CACCC) and with The Senior Source  to provide community support and service.  Our holiday project is a gift drive to support the CACCC Holiday Shop.

Holiday Shop: The Holiday Shop is held for one day at the Center during the holiday season. This is a place where caregivers are given the chance to “shop” for their children, at no charge, allowing them the joy of presenting their children with holiday gifts they would otherwise be unable to provide. Each year, the Center serves nearly 1,000 vulnerable children aged 0 to 18 years through its Holiday Shop.

Gift Ideas: Teen Items, DVDs, Books, Toys, Games, and Gift Cards. The CACCC serves a wide range of vulnerable children and as well as the more commonly gifted items for younger children, there is always a shortage of items for teens. The attached Amazon Wishlist includes items actually requested by the children themselves.

Opportunties to provide Gift Options:

On-line Gift Order: Members can shop on the Center's Amazon Wishlist. This option is open to all members who don’t have time or opportunity to shop in person or attend the Society's event, but still want to contribute to the cause. The gifts are delivered directly to the CACCC.

On-line Monetary Donation: Members can donate directly on the CACCC website. This option is open to all members who don’t have time or opportunity to shop in person or attend the Society's event, but still want to contribute to the cause.
