Politically Speaking,  Come and hear  Tan Parker, Republican politician who has served since 2007 in the Texas House of Representatives, talk about the Propositions and/or House Bills that impact our State and Industry.

Our November luncheon meeting is scheduled for Tuesday, November 12th at The Clubs of Prestonwood – The Creek, 15909 Preston Road, Dallas, TX 75248.   The meeting will start promptly at 11:30am and wraps up at 1:00pm.   Check-in will be from 11:10 -11:25 am

Our guest speaker, Tan Parker, State Representative is currently in his seventh term representing House District 63. Since taking office, Tan has been a proven and recognized champion for economic development, job creation, reducing tax burdens, among many others. He is also known for his powerful advocacy for the protection of children and vulnerable populations as well as being a leader in the fight against human trafficking.

Tan was also called upon to serve on the House Committee on Business and Industry overseeing a wide range of issues such as the protection of consumers including privacy and identity theft.  He previously served as Chairman of the House Committee on Investments and Financial Services. He has a decorated private sector business career that includes valuable experience in the technology, software, financial services and private equity industries.

Tan is a passionate advocate for community and serving others, Parker is on several board of directors and advisory councils including serving on the Board of Trustees for the University of Dallas and advisory councils for Communities in Schools of North Texas, the Children’s Advocacy Center for Denton County. Tan has proudly served as honorary chair for the Special Olympics Texas’ Steak-N-Stetson event for the past four years.

Prior to being an elected official, he was an appointee of Texas Governor Rick Perry, where he chaired the Texas Industrial Development Corporation

Tan resides in Flower Mound, Texas with his wife of nearly 25 years, Beth, and their daughters, Lauren, (Texas A&M) and Ashley (high school junior).
