Let’s visit the Past in the Future!  Join us for the Past Presidents Luncheon

Our February luncheon meeting is scheduled for Tuesday, February 19th at The Clubs of Prestonwood – The Creek, 15909 Preston Road, Dallas, TX 75248.   The meeting will start promptly at 11:30am and wraps up at 1:00pm.   Check-in will be from 11:10 -11:25 am.

Our guest speakers, Rob Olson and Debra Richardson will both speak briefly in honor of our Past Presidents.  Rob will share on “The Emerging Trends of Our Business”  while Debra will share on the topic of “Leadership Development”Also featured will be 4 volunteer panelists, PAST PRESIDENTS of the Dallas Chapter who will share their experience based on industry related questions.

Community Opportunities for meeting attendees:  Please help our community Seniors & bring Canned Goods for The Senior Source 

  • each attendee please bring 4 or more canned or non-perishable goods
  • each attendee bringing 10 or more canned or non-perishable goods will have a chance to win a Voucher for one Free Luncheon of your choice (bring 20 cans and get 2 raffle tickets)
  • each attendee bringing 1 or more Guests will also have a chance to win a Voucher for one Free Luncheon of your choice (get 1 raffle ticket for each guest you bring)

Rob Olson

Author and Principal Research Analyst
IRMI

Rob is the author and principal research analyst for IRMI's reference service Personal Risk Management and Insurance. He earned a BA degree, cum laude, in economics and MLA degree, both from SMU in Dallas.  He is a CPCU and holds several other insurance and risk management designations.  He is an active member of the CPCU Society.  He serves as an adjunct professor at SMU where he teaches risk management and insurance classes.  He just completed a term as president of Dallas Philosopher's Forum.

Rob is actively involved in the Dallas community, for example, teaching life skills classes to teenage inmates at the Dallas County jail

Debra Richardson

Founder and Faculty Adviser of UTD's Beta Phi Chapter of Gamma Iota Sigma

Debra joined UTD in Aug. 2015 to launch its new Risk Management and Insurance (RMI) Undergraduate Program after teaching in the UNT RMI program for 6 years. She spent 30 years in the property and casualty insurance industry. Debra is the Founder and Faculty Advisor of UTD’s award winning Beta Phi Chapter of Gamma Iota Sigma, rated “Superior” two years running by the Grand Chapter. She currently serves on the board of directors for the Fort Worth Chapter and is a Past President fort the Dallas Chapter.
