The speaker for the June luncheon is Gregory Rubel, ASLI.  Mr Rubel has enjoyed a successful career in the Excess and Surplus Lines Industry serving over 25 years in management, operations and underwriting roles for Markel and Ace Westchester.  In May 2016, Greg started Rubel Consulting LLC where he serves as principal consultant. 

Greg has made numerous presentations to insurance professionals on a variety of subjects including Excess & Surplus Lines, Reinsurance, Employement Practices Liablility, and Insurance for Oil & Gas Exposures. 

Mr. Rubel's presentation is titled 'The Future of Things' and will analyze several emerging risk issues insurance professionals will face over the next few years. 

Topics to be discussed:

The Internet of Things (IoT)-what it means and how it will affect us
Autonomous Vehicles-both cars and commercial trucks; they will be here sooner than we think
Green Products-we're getting close to the tipping point where "Green St." is going to meet "Main St."
Cyber Liability-the take up rate is starting to rise; time to get serious about selling it
Drones-effects on property and casualty exposures
Business Data Analysis Impacts- use of drones for inspections and claims handling

Greg has enjoyed a successful career in the E&S lines industry.After starting his career in public accounting he spent twenty-five years at Markel Corporation in various management, underwriting and operations roles, ultimately ending up as the Regional President of Markel Corporation’s Mid South Region in Plano. In 2014, Greg moved to ACE Westchester(now known as Chubb) and built a successful Wholesale Binding Authority operation for them. Last month, Greg left Westchester and is currently doing consulting work through his firm, Rubel Consulting, LLC.
